I didn't skip any but some did take me ages to do. You collect little bugs along the way to help you if you get stuck. These are scattered around and you can collect up to 5 at a time.

I must admit I did use them a couple of times when I just couldn't find something. Some of the items to find are very small or well hidden, so these do come in handy.

You have 5 minutes to do each scene. There are also bug hints in there as well to help you if time is getting short. When you have successfully finished one, then you can carry on with the next one and so on.

I thought I was good at spotting the differences, but I only managed to find 3 in the first game in 5 minutes!!! Yikes they are hard to do.

I think I'm going to be a while on those ones. All up the main game took me about 6 hours to do. Its a very challenging game with difficult puzzles, but I really enjoyed it.

So if you love a good challenge, then this game is for you too. Happy playing fishies. Rated 3 out of 5 by FishyFemale from The story may get more interesting after the slow demo This is the third part of the Campfire Legends trilogy and supposedly continues the story that left off from the second installment.

Since I've only played the demoes of each game, I don't know how well the story is fleshed out in each one, but the beginning of this one started out very cleverly using a major plot point from the second game's demo concerning hot chocolate.

There's a strategy guide included and I discovered that I'd gotten through the first third of the guide at the end of the hour demo, so this appears to be a short game.

I hadn't noticed if there's a guide included in the first two installments but walkthroughs are easily found elsewhere on the internet.

The demo didn't pull me in quite as much as the last game in this series so I'll pass on this one. Items were harder to find because all the scenes were in the dark, but the skip on the one puzzle in the demo didn't require accumulating multiple hints like the former games did.

A diary appeared right before the demo ended which provides the back story. This may very well be a good game for those who like the different kind of gameplay it offers, so I can't decide whether to recommend it or not, but do try it out for yourself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ninda2 from I give it an ok This isn't the worst game I've played and I didn't want to say I totally didn't like it, it just wasn't for me.

I always suggest playing the demo before buying! They have an accident involving a woman appearing in the middle of the road. After the accident, which occurs just outside a spooky mansion, one of the friends is missing.

The search for her begins in the mansion. This is the final installment of the Campfire Legends three part series. The first one I played, The Hookman, I really enjoyed.

I can't say the same for this one. The whole hour I played, everything was dark. Exploring the mansion is done with a flashlight after finding the batteries which flickers so much it was giving me a headache.

As opposed to the first game, the fireflies needed for hints were few and far between. Or maybe I just couldn't see them in the dark.

Another example is the goal of restoring electricity to the Mansion. There are 11? Every single one I eventually found was grey. Perhaps once the electricity was restored and the flashlight went away, things might have gotten better.

But before that could happen, the hour was over. I skipped two of the 3 minigames I ran into. One was putting the parts of a cell phone back together after finding all of them.

The parts could be rotated to fit. The SD card and battery would seem to be placed in the back of the phone.

I found no way to rotate the phone and no matter how many times I rotated the SD card, it didn't fit anywhere on the front of the phone.

I don't like having to use a lot of hints in a game. Big Fish Games. PC Games. Mac Games. Online Games. Android Games.

I missed this game when it was released, and am sorry I didn't get to play it sooner! This is exactly what the title says: a scary campfire story to keep you on the edge of your seat.

The game is mostly hidden objects, and they are pretty difficult which I like. You may have to search several areas for the items you need.

The games aren't too hard but enjoyable. As soon as I finished I bought the other 2 Campfire Legend games.

Highly recommended if you enjoy a good thrill! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by EzgiMelody from Very Good!! First game of the series.

And the most difficult one I think. Some puzzles are really hard to solve. Thank you Big Fish. Rated 5 out of 5 by schefnh from A real challenge After about 3 weeks I finally finished this fun game using a walkthru and 3 videos.

I ran out of the firefly hints early on so had to keep plugging away. This is the best of the campfire legend games but the other 2 are good too.

There is no puzzle skip buttons so it is all up to the player. These games are so unique, you really get into them. The voice overs and the art work are fantastic.

It is also designed to scare you from time to time with some jump scares. These are great and I am glad I found them. Ill get them all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JuJugamer from No lurid colors! It's worth 4 stars just because of the coloring. I am sooo tired of the garish colors so popular with the devs these days.

The moment I see those neon colors while I'm shopping for a game I just move on. It's spooky enough to have made me jump a couple times and some of the puzzles are difficult enough that I needed help from youtube.

That's better than the the simple minded same old same old. The most refreshing thing about the plot was that there actually was one and it was neither tired nor predictable.

Sort of short but it kept me interested all the way through. Most games by the mainstream devs bore me so badly that I start skipping puzzles just to get it over with.

So if you're tired of haunted hotels and castles and unicorns and purple moonlight you just might enjoy this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by upsysydaisy from Why has Campfire Legends not been reviewed yet? The Hookman starts out with some girlfriends sitting around their campfire wanting to hear a spooky story.

One of the girls begins an "urban legend" tale about The Hookman. The story of the game is based on that of the urban legend of The Hook , told by a group of girls telling scary stories around a campfire.

As they tell the story of The Hookman, the player takes the role of Christine, a young woman who has a romantic getaway planned for her and her boyfriend Patrick.

When she arrives at the cabin of her parents, she finds out the lights are out. After fixing window shutters and replacing fuses, she finds the whole house has been ransacked.

She hears on the radio news that an assassin known as the Hookman has escaped, and calls the police to report the break-in at her parent's cabin.

The policeman is rude and tells her it will take a few hours to get to her. When her boyfriend Patrick arrives, he dismisses her fears about the serial killer, and drives the two of them into the forest for a romantic campfire.

Patrick disappears to get firewood and cocoa. While he is gone, someone damages the car.

Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by allisgr1 from allisgr1 loved it! I don't understand negative reviews.

Come out with another one Please!! I've been playing these games for years so I loved it. I played all 3 in the series back in ; from start to finish.

The Hookman has a spot that really scares you! It is rare I've ever been scared out of my chair but that one knocked me a few inches up in the seat!!

In order to fully appreciate this installment you really should play the first 2 in the series of 3. This SE which is offered as a Premium Edition comes with a lot of bang for the buck.

The screensaver was worth the purchase alone! It has an in game walkthrough guide, dl concept art and you can replay the amazing cut scenes.

This game was made with quality and to this day, this series, remains high on my list of favorites!! Rated 5 out of 5 by pcpat from Campfire Legends Series are Legendary!

Really surprised at the lack of reviews. These are older games and better games because gamers must have some patience because there is no zipping and zooming to completion.

After playing many games, horrifying is an appropriate and accurate description with the only other mind boggling "Dracula Origin" as the most outrageously horrifying adventure this gamer has every beheld.

So, I placed that in my Current Favorite for those who dare! If you want something lame, there's lots of other games to choose! Rated 5 out of 5 by j62janet from Excellant Even though at times I could have pulled my hair out in frustration, I loved the whole series of the games, and just when I thought the game had finished, it carried on, numerous puzzles to do, and some I admit I skipped, simply because i couldn't do that puzzle, but don't let that put you off trying.

The person who was doing all of these horrible things, I didn't have a clue on. Don't pass up on this series of games, they are all equally fantastic.

What a story, the graphics are excellent, considering it's not a new game, it's been around for a while Date published: Totally loved this and the two previous games.

This was the longest one of the others. Love the graphics and the puzzles are really fun! Some can be very challenging but you have the hint and skip system to help you out of any jam.

I sure wish developers would make more games like this. I loved the story line, of Urban Legends, the campfire in the middle of the dark woods, a bunch a teens, a warm fire, hot cocoa, and ghost stories or rather Urban Legends.

I love how all the games came together in this last one. One of the best series Ive played on Bigfish!

No-one knew what happened to Lisa, but you're about to find out. I was gobsmacked when I found out who it was that kidnapped Lisa and the rest of the girls and who was in league with The Hookman.

There are voiceovers in the game and you get a diary later on to help Reggie and Ashley find out what happened to Lisa and to get clues on what to do.

Its easy to read and you are finding pages as you go through the game. The graphics at the beginning are kind of gritty and dark, but you get used to it.

Not all of the game is like that though. Sound is good and the music is creepy. There are no hidden object games here, but there are plenty of mini-games which are very challenging and will take a while to do.

You do have the option to skip any of them though if they are just too challenging or you want to move on. I didn't skip any but some did take me ages to do.

One of the girls begins an "urban legend" tale about The Hookman. But one of the others chimes in, saying that it is a true story of a family that was murdered years ago and they all are anxious to hear about it.

That's where our fun begins We find a young lady arriving at the cabin in the woods for a fun getaway. Her boyfriend is late, as he usually is, for everything, so she isn't yet concerned.

Mom and Dad arrived earlier, but left a note on the cabin door saying they are out exploring. So now the girl is all alone and it is getting late.

Creepy and baffling things begin happening. Having trouble entering the cabin at first, she finally succeeds and inside is where the creepiness escalates.

The lights don't work, that means a trip to the basement. After restoring the electricity, she sees something bad happened there.

Things are torn up and broken, scattered everywhere. So, she has no clue yet as to horror she will soon be dealing with who is out there lurking in the dark, scary woods.

There is a lot of putting things back together, going back and forth, getting things to work again. A busy game. In my opinion it is very challenging, but not impossibly so.

I imagine the experts will think it's a snap! I am intermediate, but pretty darn good at it, finally! The objects are very well hidden and not the usual way of using the found items, and the hint system is different.

Difference is good, it takes away the ho-hums. You acquire hints, only 5 max at a time, by finding fireflies.

You must remember to always search for them throughout the game, lest you totally run out of hints. They are quite small and blend well into the scenes, but not impossible to find.

When help is needed just click on one of the bugs in your collection and it unlocks a hint. I was worried about all this at the start, but was able to get along fine with much hard thinking and few hints.

Much easier really than it sounds. Actually, when I did use a hint I found another bug almost right away to replace it.

I love everything about this game. The graphics are clear, the color good, the music is grim and fitting, good storyline.

All the HO scenes, puzzles, interest factor, scary moments, challenge were excellent in my opinion. I like that there is a definite sequence to playing the games.

Hopefully, you will enjoy as much as I did. For me, it was money well spent. I am 69 yrs oId, not ready yet to become a tired, bored old lady and I own approx.

And why? Because, they make me think and challenge myself. They help keep my mind clear and strong, provide wonderful entertainment, take me to their fantasy worlds.

Thanks, Big Fish, for keeping that spark in me bright and constant. Much love to you all It is an older game and I finished it in I have played MANY games by now and this is one of the only ones that actually frightened me out of my chair.

This part is near the end and not in the demo. This series still stands out as a favorite of mine. It can be challenging at times.

This is a high quality series and the last one even offers more than many CE do for the SE price. The Last Act 3, has a great screensaver, DL concept art, in game strategy guide and you can replay the amazing cut scenes.

In order to appreciate these games though, I would suggest playing them in order. I highly recommend this series. Rated 5 out of 5 by LaTusita from Think outside the box Loved this game and the sequels.
